Fellow Zanzibaris Resident in the UK

Dear fellow Zanzibaris resident in the U.K.

As you may already be aware, work is progressing on the renovations to the St. Joseph's Cathedral in Zanzibar. The fabric is in a poor state of repairs and much attention is needed to the structure as well as to the interior face of the church. Limited funds have been made available due to fund raising by devoted residents in Zanzibar and a Restoration Committee has been set up to administer and monitor the project. Further information is available on the http://forodhanizbar.blogspot.com/  or   Home Page

However, much more funding is needed to continue the project to restore this beautiful Church to its proper condition. Fund raising has already started in the US/Canada/Australia and the U.K. and we are grateful indeed to all the donors who have already contributed to the fund. This support is an indication of the love we all have for the church where our faith was nourished and supported.

Anthony Antao (U.S.A.) is the overall co-ordinator of this project and the U.K. Committee Members are Joe De Lord, Mario Machado, Astrid D' Souza, Francis De Souza and Benny De Souza.

Please help us to continue this project and support this good cause. Donations however small would be most welcome. Cheques should be made payable to:-
